In Year 4 they own the question; I point to the sources.
Year 4 is the last year of primary school. Children choose their own research questions, learn to use sources and move on to middle school with their own study habits.

In Year 4 teachers take a step back. The class now chooses the project question; teachers teach finding sources, taking notes and planning a presentation.
This year's project is "The map of our neighbourhood": researching how the Nilüfer stream passes through our area, the class built a cardboard model of the neighbourhood and discussed stream clean-up with an expert from the municipality.
Getting ready for middle school is not exam coaching. We work on planning homework, organising a week, summarising a text and speaking comfortably in front of the class.
